PARTA
Two orbs of energy converge, exchanging thoughts mentally.
"Every member of our race has a special gift. Yours, Parta, is to evade our kalethar senses. Therefore, I have a new assignment for you. Dahat has rebelled against our order, and he's leading others astray. Our council has decided to banish him and his followers to a remote planet called Terra and seal them there in time and space."
"He'll wreak havoc there, my lord," answered Parta.
"Which is why I'm asking you and Indra to go before them to prepare and protect the race of humans thereon. I'm sending fifty thousand kalethar to aid you, but you and Indra must help lead them."
"And...how long will the assignment be?"
"Either until Dahat changes his mind or dies in battle."
The overwhelming weight of the task took Parta by surprise.
"That could mean we'd be there for a very long time. Dahat is cunning. I've seen what he's done among our brethren. What if it takes centuries?"
"Exactly. So, work diligently to persuade him to reason. If that doesn't succeed, eliminate him quickly--before his rebellion spreads or causes bloodshed on Terra."
"When will we go?"
"Indra is already waiting for you. The council's decree will be passed down before this moon spins again on its axis."
"How will you know whether we've accomplished our mission? With the seal over Terra, we won't be able to report."
"We'll be monitoring closely. When your mission is accomplished, we'll remove he seal, and you'll be free to roam the heavens again."
"Please...in the busyness of your work...please don't forget about us."
